Procedures for 12/18/12

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (12/18/12)

目标: 1) I can talk about various modes of transportation, distance and time needed for a trip between two places.  2) I can compare and contrast American and Chinese cultures through view video segments.  3) I can polish my listening skill through viewing / listening to the video clips.

功课: 1) WB pages 27 + 31.  2) Read text passages textbook pages 28-29 & 31.  3) E-mail Ms. Chang your Movie Comprehension Questions One by the end of tomorrow.

程序:

  1. 1) Graded Storybooks are all returned.  Do not lose your checklist.  Return it with your completed storybook on 1/4/13.  2) Captains check WB pages 25-26.  Go over answer key.  3) Go over sentence pattern on text page 35.  4) Conversation questions Q/A.
  2. 1) Video clips + comprehension check.  2) Movie time.

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (12/18/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of Lesson Five material.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese characters.

Homework: Know learned 5 characters by tomorrow.

Procedure:

1.   1) Collect Lesson Five character worksheet.  2) Captains check Lesson Six character definitions.  3) Makeup work (3P: Sammy—oral exam; 7P: Chloe + Jackson: reading text passages).  4) Questions?

2.   1) Lesson Five chapter test.  2) If time allows, DVD: Chinese characters (rain, house, tall, dog, heart, clothes).

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (12/18/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say and write numbers in Chinese.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese tea.

Homework: 1) Review 8 learned terms.  2) Complete character writing assignment.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (3P: Aaron—character worksheet + quiz; 5P: Portia: quiz #1).  Return quiz #1 paper.  2) Quick review.  3) Teach new terms (wu, liu, qi, ba).  4) Complete 2 paper-cut patterns.  Check for grades.
  2. 1) DVD: Chinese Tea culture.  Showcase tea sets.   3) Prepare papers for origami.
