Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (12/14/12)

目标: 1) I can present my pen pal letter.  2) I can gain historical, cultural and political knowledge about China through viewing movie segments.

功课: 1) Know all learned characters by next Monday.  2) Complete movie comprehension questions electronically by the end of next Wednesday.

程序:

  1. Pen pal letter presentation (乐迪恩, 甘士凯, 葛沛思, 柏丽雅, 李白丝, 李文敦, 林凯丽, 倪德, 卡蕾秋).

2.   Pass out / go over comprehension questions.  Movie time!  Pause for comprehension quick check.

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (12/14/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.  2) I can review my chapter test through playing an interactive game.  3) I can explore cultural enrichment resources.

Homework: 1) Study for your chapter test on Tuesday.  2) Practice round robin reading for next Monday.

Procedure:

1.  Chinese Club meeting at 6P today.  Bring in your lunch, please.  We have plenty of drink and snack for you.  Roster has been sent to study hall teachers and office.  Students are encouraged to lead a small group to teach various origami.

2.  Students are randomly drawn in pairs to conduct their oral exam (2P: Logan, Sammy, Jose, Donielle, Samantha, Jerry, Louis, Amari, Stephen, Bridget, Suzu, Alex M.; 7P: Emily, Michael, Morgan, Chloe, Wyatt, Ahkien) <=> 1) Please go to I drive, click Chang folder, click 3rd edition game, click Ni Hao 1, log into with any name, and then click Lesson Five to play and review for your chapter test.  2) Practice/prepare your oral exam.  3) Practice reading Lesson Five text passages.

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (12/14/12)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple greeting terms in Chinese.  2) I can explore Chinese folk art of paper cut.  3) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese calligraphy and early Chinese inventions.

Homework: Review 28 learned terms.  Quiz #1: Monday, 12/17/12.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (26 terms).  2) Teach new terms (Dui Bu Qi, Mei Guan Xi).
  2. 1) Culture reading: Four Treasure of the Study / Chinese Early Inventions.  2) DVD: Chinese calligraphy.  3) Showcase seals + Four Treasure of the Study.
  3. Pass out / cut out Double Happiness + Longevity paper patterns.  Collect for participation grade.
