Procedures for 1/4/13

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (1/4/13)

目标: 1) I can acquire knowledge about Chinese politics, history, and culture through viewing a movie.  2) I can ask and answer questions about transportation modes, distances and traveling time needed between two places.  3) I can read text passages fluently.

功课: 1) WB page 38.  2) Practice reading text passages on pages 28-31.  3) Round robin reading: Monday, 1/7/13.

程序:

  1. 1) Collect storybook draft + storybook + checklist.  2) Captains WB pages 30 & 33.  Go over answer key.  3) Read text passages on pages 28-31.
  2. 1) Conversation question Q/A.  2) Go over movie comprehension questions II.  3) Movie time.

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (1/4/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can introduce my family and myself.  2) I can ask and answer simple questions about family, siblings, and name.  3) I can read text passages fluently.  4) (2P) I can polish my listening skill through listening to audio files and watching video clips.

Homework: 1) WB page 35.  2) Character writing assignment.  3) Practice reading text pages 43-44 passages.  4) Complete your family paragraph before Thursday so that you can type in the media center next Thursday.

Procedure:

1.   1) Captains check WB pages 33-34 & 38.  Go over answer key.  2) Quick review (家, 爸, 妈/媽, 哥, 弟, 姊/姐, 妹, 有, 个, 和, 也, 工, 护, 士).  3) Show sample answers to WB page 35.  4) Read text passages on pages 43-44.

2.   1) Teach new characters (姓, 叫, 医, 医生, 保, 保罗, 丽, 丽人).  2) Teach sentence patterns (姓, 叫 + text page 47).

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (1/4/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say and recognize picture and number characters.  2) I can talk about myself in Chinese.  3) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese silk and embroidery.

Homework: 1) Review counting principle.  2) Quiz #2: Monday, 1/7/13.  3) 12 character writing assignment due Monday, 1/7/13.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (3P: Emmett; 5P: Everett, Cameron).  2) Quick review (20 characters).  3) Count from zero to one hundred.  .
  2. 1) Pass out / go over supplementary handout.  2) Prepare draft paper.  3) Teach new term (sui).  Write and read sentences #1-#2.
  3. 1) DVD: Chinese silk and (5P) embroidery.  Showcase silk cocoon.  2) Pass out art project requirements.  3) Tea time.
