Procedures for 1/14/13

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (1/14/13)

目标: 1) I can prepare for my midterm.  2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.

功课: Practice oral exam questions if you have not taken your exam today.

程序:

  1. Pass out midterm exam permission slip.  Students need to return with parent signatures by Thursday, January 17th. Students must carry completed, signed slips at all times during exam week in order to enter and exit the building.
  2. 1) Return Lesson Three Part I chapter test.  Browse and collect.  Need retake application form?  2) Makeup test (Logan, Rachel L., Jordan).  3) Storybook makeup work (Logan, Rachel L., Julia).  4) Round robin reading makeup work (Jordan).  5) 2nd semester schedule will be passed out on Friday, 1/18/13.
  3. Pass out Midterm Study Guide.  Study.  Culture reading packet + exit slips will be pass out tomorrow.
  4. Oral exam volunteers?  Randomly draw students for midterm.

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (1/14/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can prepare for my midterm.  2) I can ask and answer midterm oral exam.

Homework: 1) WB pages.  2) Practice oral exam questions if you have not taken your exam today.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return family paragraph.  Keep it until 1/24/13.  We’ll be working at Media Center to create Powerpoint slides.  2) Makeup work (3P: Maisy, Kyle, Louis, Bridget, Alex, Adam; 5P: Ahkien, Chloe).  3) Return Lesson Six chapter test papers.  Browse and collect.  Need retake application form?  4) Makeup test (3P: Chase, Maisy, Hannah, Louis, Bridget; 5P: Chloe).  5) Return Lesson Six character worksheet.  Makeup work (3P: Chase, Jake, Maisy, Hannah, Steelley, Jose, Louis, Bridget, Alex; 5P: Chloe).  6) Captains check Lesson Seven definitions.  7) HS students need to read text passages to Ms. Chang.
  2. 1) Writing part + Listening: Thursday, 1/17/13; Reading passages + Hanyu Pinyin + intonation + culture reading: Friday, 1/18/13.  2) Pass out Midterm Study Guide.  Study + work on workbook problems.  Will go over answer key tomorrow.  Culture reading packet + exit slips will be passed out tomorrow.
  3. Volunteers for oral exam?  Randomly draw students for mid-term oral exam.

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (1/14/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say colors in Chinese.  2) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project.

Homework: 1) Review color terms for quiz #4: Wednesday.  2) Practice reading sentences.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (8 colors).  2) Teach new terms (hui se, cheng se, fen hong se).
  2. 1) Teach term (xi huan, zui xi huan).  2) Write sentence #8.  3) Read sentences #1-#8.
  3. Showcase more art project samples.

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (1/11/13)

目标: I can showcase my mastery of Lesson Three Part I materials.

功课: Practice oral exam for midterm (1/14/13-1/18/13).

程序:

1.   Makeup work (史玖丹, 乐迪恩, 甘博力, 史尊凯, 史安敦, 米嘉琳, 卡蕾秋, 金泰德, 李文敦, 史科礼, 葛沛思, 麦珠莉, 乐芝蕾).

2.Lesson Three Part I oral exam is postponed.  It will be combined with Part II oral exam in mid February.  Midterm oral exam starts from Monday.  The early bird volunteers will get chance to redo if they want!  Six rounds of questions, including questions from Lesson Three Part I.

3.Lesson Three Part I chapter test.

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (1/11/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of Lesson Six materials.  2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions about family members.

Homework: 1) Lesson Seven character definitions.  2) Practice your conversation questions.  Oral exam: Monday-Tuesday, 1/14-1/15/13.  Lesson six oral exam will be carried out at 3Q.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Collect Lesson Six character writing assignment.  Turn in your family paragraph.  2) (2P) Show Ms. Chang your WB page 36.  Go over answer key.  3) (2P) Mrs. Boyne cover Ms. Chang on 1/24/13.  Be sure to complete your midterm oral exam since you only have two days (1/22-1/23) next week.  Utilize E/I, please.  Science/Math students, please make arrangement.  4) Pass out Lesson Seven character worksheet.
  2. 1) Lesson Six chapter test.  2) If done, practice conversation questions / work on Lesson Seven definitions.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (1/11/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say my address and colors in Chinese.  2) I can brainstorm ideas about art project.

Homework: Review 8 color terms.

Procedure:

  1. 1) (5P) Check flash cards.  2) Interested in retake quiz #3?  3) Turn in any makeup work (draft #1—5P: Grace, 12 character writing assignment—5P: Jake).
  2. 1) Quick review (hong se, huang se, hei se, bai se).  2) Teach new terms (lü se, lan se, zi se, zong se).
  3. 1) Review English address format.  2) Write oral presentation sentence #7.  3) Read sentences #1-#7.
  4. Showcase art project samples.
