Procedures for 2/6/13

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (2/6/13)

目标: 1) I can read text passages fluently and comprehend text passages with accurate proficiency.  2) I can ask, give and follow directions.  3) I can prepare for my chapter test.  4) I can understand the requirement for our cooking lesson on Friday.

功课: 1) Practice reading text passages.  Round robin reading: Wednesday, 2/13/13.  2) Study for your movie unit assessment tomorrow and your chapter test on Monday, 2/11/13.  3) Study text pages 37 / 39.

程序:

1.   1) Collect cooking supplies.  Check WB page 39 #7-#8 & WB page 40 Section R.  Go over answer key.  2) Teach new characters (劳,驾, 劳作, 驾车, 劳驾).  3) Read text passages on pages 32-33.  4) Pass out / Go over cooking lesson checklist.

2.   Simulation of Chapter test.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (2/6/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can use proper measure / counting words to talk / write about my pets.  2) I can compare and contrast Chinese and American cultural differences through watching a Chinese movie.

Homework: 1) Practice conversation questions.  2) Fill out movie discussion questions.  3) (7P) Chinese character writing assignment.  4) Pet paragraph due on Friday.

Procedure:

  1. Due to a pep assembly at MS this Friday, HS students report to Media Center this Friday, please.  Cooking lesson has to reschedule to next week (Wednesday).  2) Collect cooking supplies.  3) (7P) Teach new character (真, 很,它,都,真的啊! 是啊!)
  2. Go over pet paragraph.  1) What kind of pets do you have, 2) How many pets do you have?  What is its name and its age?  4) What is it like?
  3. Movie time.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (2/6/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese characters and pronunciation through reading and video clips.  3) I can write simple Chinese picture characters.

Homework: 1) Review 18 terms.  2) Complete Chinese character writing assignment.  Due (3P) on Friday (5P) Monday, 2/11.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (3P: 14 terms + 6 characters; 5P: 14 terms + 3 characters).  2) Teach new terms (Wu An, Wan An, Shang Ke, Xia Ke).
  2. 1) (5P) DVD: Chinese characters (tree, mountain, mouth).  3) Teach Chinese characters (3P: shui, huo; 5P: tree, mountain, mouth).
  3. Pass out / go over paper patterns.  Cut paper patterns.
