Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (2/8/13)

目标: I can enjoy cooking Chinese fried rice and making egg rolls to celebrate Chinese New Year.

功课: Study for your chapter test.

程序:

1) Get into your station with your group members.  2) Get your supplies to be ready to cook.  3) Follow the recipes to cook fried rice and make egg rolls.  4) Clean up!

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (2/8/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.  2) I can create a skit by applying what I have learned from previous lessons.  3) I can prepare for Chinese New Year celebration activities.

Homework: Practice reading text passages.  Round robin reading: (2P) Wednesday, 2/13.  (7P): Tuesday, 2/12/13.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Collect your pet paragraph.  E-mail or give Ms. Chang your movie discussion questions today.  2) Read text passages.  3) Interview activity: WB page 42 Section C. Share result / Report.  4) Make red envelopes with candy.  5) Sing Chinese Happy New Year song.  6) Skit preparation.
  2. Skit preparation + Conversation questions practice.  Q / A.

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (2/8/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese folk art of paper cutting.  3) I can explore Chinese folk art of paper cuts.  4) I can write simple Chinese characters.

Homework: 1) Review 22 terms.  2) Quiz #1: Wednesday, 2/13/13.  3) (5P) Chinese characters writing assignment due next Monday, 2/11/13.

Procedure:

  1. 1) (3P) Collect your character writing assignment.  2) Quick review (18 terms + 8 / 6 characters).  3) Teach new terms (Qi Li, Jing Li, Zuo Xia, Qing Zuo, Tong Xue men Hao).  4) (5P) Teach new characters (water, fire).
  2. 1) DVD: Chinese folk art of paper cutting.  2) Finish up cutting paper patterns.  Collect as participation grade.
