Procedures for 2/11/13

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (2/11/13)

目标: 1) I can showcase my mastery of giving and following directions.  2) I can create a skit with partner by applying what I have learned before.

功课: 1) Lesson Three characters worksheet + Lesson Four character definitions due tomorrow.  2) Lesson Three round robin reading: Wednesday, 2/13/13.  3) Skit draft: due Friday, 2/15/13.  4) Work in Red Lab: Thursday + Friday for oral exam and skit.  Complete all oral exam + road map by the end of Friday.

程序:

  1. 1) Please claim your cooking supplies.  2) Pass out Lesson Four character worksheet, pass ut / go over skit choices + checklist.  3) Quick review (礼堂, 办公室, 小卖部, 操场).  4) Go over pictures for Pen Pal letters, and Getting around Town.  Need pictures of (越野, 阳冬, 柯佩芝).  5) Fill out your pen pal’s English and Chinese name.  6) Report to Ms. Chang your intention of course recommendation for next year while you take your chapter test.  7) Return your scheduling worksheet with signatures from teachers and parent and printed confirmation printout of class requested with parent signature on/before Thursday, 2/14/13.
  2. 1) Lesson Three chapter test part II.  2) Find your partner and finalize skit choice.

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (2/11/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese zodiac animals.  3) I can read text passages fluently.  4) I can create a skit with a partner by applying what I have learned before.

Homework: 1) WB page 47.  2) (7P) Round robin reading tomorrow.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return pet paragraph.  Makeup work (2P: Michael, Kyle, Logan, Jake—pet paragraph; Kyle, Michael, Sammy, Louis—movie discussion questions; 7P: Jackson, Chloe—pet paragraph; Jackson—movie discussion questions).  3) Sing Happy Chinese New Year song.  4) Pass out / go over Lesson Seven Study Guide.  5) Read text passages on page 32-34.
  2. 1) Culture reading: text pages 63.  DVD: Chinese zodiac animals.  2) Listening activity: WB page 44 Section E.  Go over answer key.  3) Finalize your skit. 4) Go over cooking lesson checklist.  Divide your work responsibilities for cooking lesson.

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (2/11/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese school.  3) I can use chopsticks to pick up food.

Homework: 1) Review 27 terms + 8 Chinese characters.  2) Quiz #1: Wednesday, 2/13/13.  Quiz #2: 2/20/13.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work—Chinese character writing assignment (3P: Jake, Chad; 5P: Mark, Connor).  2) Ms. Chang checks paper cutting patterns.  3) Quick review (22 terms).  4) Teach new terms (Dong le ma, Dong le, Bu Dong, Dui Bu Qi, Mei Guan Xi).
  2. 1) Culture reading: Chinese schools.  2) (3P) DVD: Chinese schools.  3) 1) Pass out / learn how to hold chopsticks.  2) Practice picking up Cheerios with chopsticks.
