Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (2/25/13)

目标: 1) I can read text passages fluently.  2) I can talk about my leisure life.  3) I can create and present a skit with a partner.

功课: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Practice reading text passages on pages 42-43.

程序:

  1. 1) Return skit papers.  2) Quick review (音乐会, 节目, 新闻, 比, 比赛, 赛车, 片, 动画片, 迷, 迷路, 电视迷, 电脑迷, 球迷, 剧, 电视剧, 无, 无聊, 聊天, 搞错, 频频, 频道, 次, 别, 唉, 一天到晚, 从早到晚, 休闲).  3) Read text passages on pages 42-43.  4) Teach new terms (周, 一周 = 一星期, 末, 周末, 周一 = 星期一, 周二 = 星期二, 周三 = 星期三, 周四 = 星期四, 周五 = 星期五, 周六 = 星期六, 周日 = 星期日, 期末考, 张, 夫, 功夫, 幻, 科幻, 幻想).
  2. Skit presentation (凯丽/乐芝蕾, 佩芝/麦珠莉, 甘博力/卡蕾秋, 史科礼/乐迪恩, 史玖丹/益怡湘, 李文敦).

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (2/25/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about nationality and language skills.  2) I can sing Chinese song.  3) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.

Homework:  1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Practice reading text passage on page 67.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return skit papers.  2) Quick review (中国, 中国人, 中文, 美国, 美国人, 英国, 英国人, 英文, 德国, 德国人, 德文).  3) Teach new characters (哪, 拿, 日, 本, 说, 加拿大, 加拿大人, 生日, 一本书, 本子, 日本人, 日文).  4) Teach sentence patterns (你是 < country > 人吗?, 你是哪国人?, 你说 < language >吗?).  5) Read text passage on page 67.  6) Compare / contrast (个, 口).
  2. 1) Video clips from Happy Chinese by Confucius Institute (http://kid.chinese.cn/article/2009-09/25/content_68502.htm).  2) Conversation practice.  Q/A.

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (2/25/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese birthday convention, Terra Cotta Warriors, and ways to address various family members.  3) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project.  5) I can say dates in Chinese

Homework: 1) Practice reading sentences #1-#5.  2) Review counting principle.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (10 Chinese number characters).  2) Compare / Teach English and Chinese date formats.  3) Write sentence #5.  4) Read sentences #1-#5.  Collect draft #1.
  2. Showcase art project samples.
