Procedures for 2/26/13

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (2/26/13)

目标: 1) I can talk about leisure activities.  2) I can prepare for the Amazing Race Project.

功课: 1) WB pages 42 & 44.  2) Practice tangam pieces game, cutting paper patterns & origami styles.  3) Round robin reading (pages 42-43): tomorrow.

程序:

1.   Read text pages 42-43.

2.   1) Teach 3 origami projects.  2) Pair activity: use 3 tangram pieces (2 smallest ones + 1 medium triangle).

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (2/26/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about nationality and language skills.  2) I can comprehend audio files.  3) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.  4) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese dragons and zodiac animals.

Homework: Read text passages on page 67.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (中国, 中国人, 中文, 美国, 美国人, 英国, 英国人, 英文, 德国, 德国人, 德文, 哪, 拿, 日, 本, 说, 加拿大, 加拿大人, 生日, 一本书, 本子, 日本人, 日文).  2) Read text passages on page 67.  3) Conversation questions Q/A.
  2. 1) (2P) Listening activity.  2) Video clips.  3) (7P) DVD: Chinese Dragon.  4) Learn pronunciation of Chinese zodiac animals.  5) Chinese cooking lessons + caroling + Chinese Club slide show.

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (2/26/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese zodiac animals.  3) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project.

Homework: 1) Review counting principle & 10 Chinese number characters for quiz #3 tomorrow.  2) Read sentences #1-#6.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return draft #1.  Makeup work (3P: Emma, Johnny; 5P: Sara, Mark).  2) Write sentence #6.  3) Read sentences #1-#6.
  2. 1) Culture reading: Chinese zodiac and twelve animals / The giant panda.  2) DVD: Chinese Zodiac animals.
  3. Showcase art project samples (drawing ones).
