Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (2/27/13)

目标: 1) I can read text passages fluently.  2) I can talk about my leisure activities.  3) I can prepare for Amazing Race project.

功课: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Review all office / classroom terms.  3) WB page

程序:

1.   1) Captains check WB pages 42 + 44 homework assignment.  Go over answer key.  2) Quick review (周末, 张, 功夫, 科幻, 幻想, 音乐会, 节目, 新闻, 比, 比赛, 赛车, 片, 动画片, 迷, 迷路, 电视迷, 电脑迷, 球迷, 剧, 电视剧, 无, 无聊, 聊天, 搞错, 频频, 频道, 次, 别, 唉, 一天到晚, 从早到晚, 休闲).  3) Teach new characters + terms (兴, 趣, 高兴, 乐趣, 有趣, 对…有 / 没有兴趣, 门, 热门, 票, 门票, 电影票, 拉 ó 推, 提琴, 小提琴, 中提琴, 大提琴).

2.   1) Round robin reading: text pages 42-43.  2) Go over building floor plan + practice cutting paper patterns.

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (2/27/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about nationality and language skills.  2) I can read text passages fluently.  3) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.  4) I can  acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese dragon.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) WB pages 49 + 50 (Sections C + D).

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (中国, 中国人, 中文, 美国, 美国人, 英国, 英国人, 英文, 德国, 德国人, 德文, 哪, 拿, 日, 本, 说, 加拿大, 加拿大人, 生日, 一本书, 本子, 日本人, 日文).  2) Teach new terms (新, 西, 新西兰, 新西兰人, 会, 不会, 对, 起, 不对, 对不起, 一起).  3) (2P) Read text passage on pages 66-67.  4) Pass out / go over Lesson Seven conversation questions handout.
  2. 1) (2P) DVD: Chinese dragon.  2) Conversation questions practice + Q/A.

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (2/27/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese.  2) (3P) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese yo-yo.  3) I can recognize numbers from one to one hundred.

Homework: Practice reading sentences #1-#7.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Review English address format.  2) Write sentence #7.  3) Read sentences #1-#7.
  2. 1) Showcase art project samples (PPT).  2) (3P) DVD: Chinese yo-yo.
  3. Quiz #3.
