Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (3/12/13)

目标: 1) I can brainstorm ideas for my video project.  2) I can .  3) I can

功课: 1) Review and study your Lesson Four chapter test on Friday, 3/22/13.  2) Draft and finalize your script.  Due next Monday, 3/18/13.

程序:

  1. 1) ProgressBook is off line from 5pm Wednesday night to 7am Thursday.  No access to PB at all.  2) Please click the following link, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xb5p5knXf10, to view another singing video done by last year’s Chinese III students.
  2. For those who like to create a Chinese comic strip, there are two choices for you.  Please make sure all comic characters are Chinese-like figures and the scripts inside the bubbles are Chinese characters.  A1) Log onto http://www.toondoo.com to create your account.  A2) Please click the following links for ToonDoo comic strip tutorials,   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RutIIIh20t0, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PgcYAAuBxDo, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PgPTMP82-Hg.

  4. E-mail Ms. Chang with all questions you have and request a different rubric for comic strip project.

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (3/12/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about favorite sports.  2) I can review grammar.  3) I can read text passages fluently.  4) I can use songs, chanting, and tongue twisters to help me learn Chinese.

Homework: Know all new characters / meanings by tomorrow.

Procedure:

  1. 1) ProgressBook is off line from 5pm Wednesday night to 7am Thursday.  No access to PB at all.   2) Quick review (喜欢/歡, 欢/歡喜, 球, 篮/籃, 网/網, 篮/籃子, 篮/籃球, 网/網球).  3) Pair activity: read your PPT slides.  3) Conversation questions practice.

  3. Pair activity: complete 3 worksheets ó (7P) Round robin reading.

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (3/12/13)

Objectives: 1) I can understand Ms. Chang’s classroom rules and grading policy.  2) I can gain geographical, historical and cultural knowledge about China through reading and viewing video clips.

Homework: 1) Signature slip due: Thursday, 3/14/13.  2) China reading packet: due at the end of the class period tomorrow.

Procedure:

1.   1) ProgressBook is off line from 5pm Wednesday night to 7am Thursday.  No access to PB at all.   2) Any signature slips?  Makeup work (3P: Emily; 5P: Kylie, Evan).  3) Finish up Ms. Chang’s classroom rules and grading policy.

2.   1) Pass out and go over China reading packet.  2) Culture reading: culture reading packet page 1.  3) DVD: Introduction to China and (3P only) Beijing.
