Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (3/13/13)

目标: 1) I can draft script for my video project .  2) I can study and prepare for my chapter test on 3/22/13.

功课: 1) Script due on Monday, 3/18/13.  Video project due on Friday, 3/22/13.  2) Chapter test: Friday, 3/22/13.  3) WB page 54.  Due Monday, 3/18/13.  4) Round robin reading: text pages 46-top of 47: Wednesday, 3/20/13.


  1. Ms. Chang is not available after school on Wednesday due to a meeting at MS.  Please e-mail Ms. Chang with any questions you have.
  2. Click 1) for an easy 2008 Olympic theme song, 2) 不得不爱,  Ms. Chang has English and Chinese translation for you.
  3. 1) Click I drive, Ms. Chang’s folder, 3rd Edition Ni Hao game, and click Lesson Four for interactive game.  2) Practice reading text passages on pages 46-47.

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (3/13/13)


Objectives: 1) I can talk about favorite sports in Chinese.  2) I can gain culture knowledge about Chinese popular sports and student pastime activities.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Complete exit slips.  Due tomorrow.  3) Lesson Nine chapter test: Wednesday, 3/27/13.


  1. 1) Makeup work (Model UN students: Lesson Nine definitions).  2) Review three worksheets.  3) Go over common writing mistakes (德,哪,澳,洲,汉,点,里,咦,美,英,新,拿).  4) Quick review (喜, 欢/歡, 喜欢/歡, 欢/歡喜, 球, 篮/籃, 网/網, 篮/籃子, 篮/籃球, 网/網球).
  2. Teach new characters (足, 足球, 棒, 棒球, 木棒, 板, 板球, 木板, 骑, 骑车, 骑马).
  3. Culture reading: Pets in China.



Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (3/13/13)


Objectives: 1) (3P) I can define what Hanyu Pinyin is.  2) I can acquire historical, geographical, and cultural knowledge about China and major cities in China.  3) (5P) I can utilize Ms. Chang’s daily blog.

Homework: 1) Quiz #1: 3/28/13.  3) Signature slip due tomorrow.


  1. 1) Any signature slip?  Makeup work (3P: Emily; 5P: Evan, Jackson, Evelyn).  (5P) Return your Spanish project from Mrs. Cerrato.  2) (5P) Introduce Ms. Chang’s daily blog.  3) DVD: Beijing / Shanghai / Chongqing.
  2. Pair activity / independent work (20 minutes): complete China reading packet.  Collect at the end of the class period.
  3. Pass out / (3P) go over greetings terms handout.
