Procedures for 3/26/13

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (3/26/13)

目标: 1) I can create and present a video with a partner by applying what I have learned before.  2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.

功课: Prepare your oral exam if you have not done so today.

程序:

  1. 1) Please conform to the dress code for shorts and shirts as outlined on pp. 34-35 of the Handbook when we come back from spring back.  2) Please conform to all security and safe procedures.  Students are NOT to open doors for anyone. All visitors MUST enter through the Main Entrance, and report/sign-in at the Office. All visitors must have a visitor’s badge. Most Importantly! Students are not to “Prop” doors with bottles, etc. Students found in violation of these expectations will face consequences!  3) Makeup work—Lesson Six character definitions.  4) Video presentation (Brandon H., Megan S. / Priya, Julia / Rachel L. / Paige, Logan / Karli).  5) Return signed retake form with 2 specified activities & specified section(s) of retake, turn in all incomplete work and reserve a day for review session, and Thursday morning / afternoon for retake.  6) Pass out / go over 3rd pen pal letter checklist.  7) Lesson Four chapter test average 44 (79.5%).
  2. 1) Makeup work—Lesson Four character writing assignment (柯佩芝, 李文敦, 柏莉雅, 林凯丽, 郑阳冬).  2) Oral exam (史尊凯, 米嘉琳, 苏丽雯, 甘博力, 谷特妮) + lyrics / scripts (益怡湘, 谷特妮, 米嘉琳) ó study.

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (3/26/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can prepare for my chapter test.  2) I can read text passages fluently.  3) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.

Homework: 1) Lesson Nine character worksheet due tomorrow.  2) Study for your chapter test tomorrow.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (运动, 好运, 运球 ó 拍球, 动物, 喂, 走, 忙, 游泳, 跑步, 乒乓球, 打, 踢, 去, 吧, 最, 足球, 棒球, 木棒, 板球, 木板, 骑车, 骑马, 喜欢/歡, 欢/歡喜, 篮/籃球, 网/網球).  2) Read text passages on pages 77-79.  3) Makeup work (2P: Jose / Samantha, Rushil / Michael; 7P: Bradley / Brielle, Chloe / Wyatt).  3) Return skit papers w/grade.
  2. 1) Go over text pages 80, bottom of 81 & 82, 83.  2) Culture reading: text page 84.  3) Finish up writing practice.
  3. 1) Round robin reading ó study time.  2) If time allows, listening activity + chanting time.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (3/26/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese numbers and write Chinese number characters.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese dragon through viewing a video clip.  3) I can explore Chinese version of rock, scissors, and paper game.

Homework: 1) Review 28 greeting terms + 8 number terms, and 8 Chinese picture characters + 8 number characters.  2) Study for your quiz #1 tomorrow.  3) Chinese character writing assignment.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Collect reading packet.  2) Quick review (28 greeting terms + 4 number terms + 12 characters).  3) Teach new terms (wu, liu, qi, ba).  4) Teach Chinese characters (五, 六, 七, 八).
  2. 1) (3P) DVD: finish up Chinese characters.  2) Culture: Culture reading: Chinese finger guessing game.  3) Game time: play Chinese version of Rock, scissors, and paper game.
