Procedures for 3/27/13

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (3/27/13)

目标: 1) I can respond and write a pen pal letter to my pen pal in China.  2) I can comprehend text passages.  3) I can ask and answer simple conversation question.

功课: 1) Study text pages 56 and top of 57.  2) Prepare your oral exam and song lyrics if you have not done so today.  Complete all tasks before the end of tomorrow.


  1. 1) Go over text passages on pages 56 + top of 57.  2) Pass out pen pal letters.  3) Return video paper w/grade.  4) Turn in retake form??
  2. 1) Oral exam ó Independent work: draft your pen pal letter or study.  2) Lyrics test (哈瑞宁, 史玖丹, 柏莉雅, 卡蕾秋, 李白丝) / link needed (柏莉雅) / script and checklist needed (麦珠莉).



Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (3/27/13)


Objectives: 1) I can read text passages fluently.  2) I can showcase my mastery of Lesson Nine materials.

Homework: 1) Lesson Ten character definitions. 2) Work on Media Center tomorrow.


  1. 1) Collect Lesson Nine character writing assignment.  2) Pass out Lesson Ten character worksheet + text passages slip.  3) (7P) Round robin reading + work  on Lesson Ten character definitions.
  2. Lesson Nine chapter test.



Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (3/27/13)


Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese numbers and write Chinese number characters.  2) I can showcase my mastery of greeting terms.  3) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese silk. 4) I can explore Chinese version of rock, scissors, and paper game.

Homework: N/A


  1. Quiz #1.
  2. 1)Quick review (8 characters).  2) Teach new terms (jiu, shi, ling, bai).  3) Teach Chinese characters (九, 十, 零, 百).  Collect worksheet.
  3. 1) DVD: Chinese Silk.  2) Showcase silk cocoon.  3) Finger guessing game tournament.
