Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (3/14/13)

目标: 1) I can review my Chinese learning and sharpen my listening skill through watching video clips.  2) I can create a video by applying what I have learned.

功课: 1) Practicing reading text passages.  2) Drafting and finalizing your script.

程序:

2.      1) E-mail Ms. Chang your script, if you are interested in getting proofreading.  2) Focus on your work, and not sidetrack from your project.  Avoid unnecessary talking during a 20-minute period, please.  Good luck.

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (3/14/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about favorite sports in Chinese.  2) I can gain cultural knowledge  bout Chinese popular sports.  3) I can create a skit by applying what I have learned before.

Homework: 1) Exit slips due tomorrow.  2) Know all learned characters by Friday.

Procedure:

1.   1) Quick review (足球, 棒球, 木棒, 板球, 木板, 骑车, 骑马, 喜欢/歡, 欢/歡喜, 篮/籃球, 网/網球).  2) (7P) Pass out Pets in China exit slip.  3) Song time.

2.   1) Pass out / Go over Lessons 8 & 9 Skit Checklist.  Pair discussion time.  2) Pass out Basketball in China / Six Important Sports in China.  Work independently to complete exit slips.

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (3/14/13)

Objectives: 1) I can say simple greeting terms in Chinese.  2) (3P) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese characters.  3) I can define what Hanyu Pinyin is.  4) I can write simple Chinese picture characters.

Homework: 1) Review 4 learned terms.  2) Chinese character writing assignment.  3) Quiz #1: 3/28/13.

Procedure:

1.   1) Any signature slip?  2) China reading packet—makeup (3P: Nicholas, Ryleigh; 5P: Emma, Eve, Jackson).

2.   1) Go over Introduction to Hanyu Pinyin handout.  2) Teach new terms (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Zai Jian).

3.   1) (3P) Culture reading: page 2.  2) Pass out / go over square paper and character table.  3) Video clip: (sun + person/people).  4) Teach Chinese character (run).
