Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (3/18/13)

目标: 1) I can read text passages fluently.  2) I can talk about my leisure life.  3) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.

功课: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Practice reading text passages on page 46.  Round robin reading on Wednesday, 3/20/13.  3)  Study for your chapter test on Friday, 3/22.  4) Video presentation project due Monday, 3/25/13.  5) Lesson Four oral exam: Monday-Tuesday, 3/25-3/26/13.

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (3/18/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about favorite sports.  2) I can ask and answer conversation questions. 3) I can create a skit by applying what I have learned before.

Homework: 1) Chinese characters writing assignment.  2) Practice reading text passages on pages 77-78.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (打, 踢, 去, 吧, 最, 足球, 棒球, 木棒, 板球, 木板, 骑车, 骑马, 喜欢/歡, 欢/歡喜, 篮/籃球, 网/網球). 2) Teach new characters (游, 泳, 跑, 步, 乒乓, 乒乓球).  3) Read text passages on pages 77-78.
  2. 1) (7P) Pass out Lesson Nine text passages.  2) Pass out / go over conversation questions.
  3. Pair / independent work: 1) discuss your skit.  2) Conversation practice.

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (3/1/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese pronunciation through reading.  3) I can pick up Cheerios with chopsticks.

Homework: Review 13 terms.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (8 terms + 3 characters).  2) Teach new terms (wu an, wan an, lao shi, zhang lao shi, lao shi hao).
  2. 1) Culture reading: China (pages 4-6).  2) Pass out paper cutting patterns.  3) Chopsticks practice.
