Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (3/20/13)

目标: 1) I can prepare for my chapter test.  2) I can sharpen my listening skill through viewing video clips.  3) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.  4) I can read text passages fluently.

功课: 1) Study for your chapter test.  2) Practice conversation questions.

程序:

  1. 1) 甘博力, 史尊凯, 苏丽雯, 谷特妮, 米嘉琳, 益怡湘need to complete round robin reading, present video project, take oral exam, and other work before the end of next Tuesday.  2) Captains check WB page 55.  3) Return all video project script.  Questions?  4) Listening activity w/comprehension questions: Looking for the Classroom / The Weekend.
  2. 1) Writing practice 2) Round robin reading ó Conversation Q/A.

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (3/20/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about favorite sports.  2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.  3) I can sharpen my listening skill through listening to audio files.  4) I can read text passages fluently.  5) I can create a skit with a partner by applying what I have learned before.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) WB 56.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review ((游泳, 跑步, 乒乓球, 打, 踢, 去, 吧, 最, 足球, 棒球, 木棒, 板球, 木板, 骑车, 骑马, 喜欢/歡, 欢/歡喜, 篮/籃球, 网/網球).  2) (2P) Pass out Sports Supplementary Terms handout.  3) Teach new characters (运, 动, 运动, 好运, 运球 ó 拍球, 动物, 喂, 走, 忙).
  2. 1) Listening activity: WB pages 55 + 57.  Go over answer key.  2) Read text passages on pages 77-79.  3) Work on skit + practice conversation questions.

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (3/20/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese calligraphy.  3) I can explore Chinese folk art of cutting papers.  4) I can write simple Chinese characters.

Homework: 1) Review 21 terms.  2) Chinese character writing assignment.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (16 terms + 5 characters).  2) Teach (shang ke, xia ke, dong le ma, dong le, bu dong).
  2. 1) Teach Chinese character (mouth) + video clip.  2) Complete 2 paper-cutting patterns.  Check as participation grade.  3) Culture reading: Chinese calligraphy.
