Procedures for 4/9/13

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (4/9/13)

目标: 1) I can review previously learned terms through speaking practice.  2) I can comprehend text passages.  3) I can write a pen pal letter.

功课: 1) Practice reading text passages on pages 56-57.  2) Review characters from yesterday.  3) Draft your pen pal letter.

程序:

  1. 1) Quick review (较, 比较, 高, 矮, 像, 长).  2) Complete review worksheet.  3) Making sentences of comparisons.
  2. 1) Go over text passages on page 57.  2) Pass out / go over supplementary materials handout.
  3. Write your pen pal letter + Ms. Chang translates your letter.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (4/9/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can name different body parts.  2) I can sing Chinese songs.  3) I can learn to utilize a voki to create an avatar.  4) I can gain cultural knowledge about international food/drink franchises in China.

Homework: 1) Draft your description about 10 different body parts.  2) Exit slip.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Work at (2P) Computer room 213 / (7P) Media Center Lab 2 on Thursday, 4/11/13.  Makeup work—PPT (7P: Chloe).  2) Quick review (头, 头发, 眉毛, 眼睛).  3) Captains check exit slips.  Go over answer key to culture reading articles.  4) Quick conversation questions Q/A session.

2.   1) Song time—我的朋友在哪里, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QH5pvIO9OGQ. / 当我们同在一起, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YUBGT-YW5Y.  2) Pass out / go over voki handout.  3) Go over supplementary handout.  4) Draft your sentences.  5) Culture reading + exit slip.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (4/9/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese numbers.  2) I can recognize simple Chinese characters.  3) I can acquire cultural knowledge about martial arts, Chinese family structure and how to address family member.  4) I can explore origami.  5) I can count from zero to one hundred.

Homework: 1) Review 20 characters.  Quiz #2 tomorrow.  2) Quiz #3: Wednesday, 4/17/13.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (20 characters).  2) Count from zero to one hundred.
  2. 1) Culture reading: Chinese family size / How to address family members.  2) DVD: Chinese Martial Arts.  3) Finish up origami.  Collect as participation grade.  4) (5P) Finger Guessing Game final.
