Procedures for 4/15/13

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (4/15/13)

目标: 1) I can write a pen pal letter.  2) I can describe personality traits.

功课: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) WB page 58 (#1-#8).

程序:

  1. 1) Sit on your new seat, please.  2) Free ethnic performances (free for K-12 students) from China at Cleveland State University, 6:30-8:00 pm on Saturday, 4/27/13.  Talk to Ms. Chang for details.  3) Captains check WB page 59.  Go over answer key.  4) Finish up enrichment reading.
  2. 1) Teach new characters (性, 性别, 男性, 女性, 个性, 随, 随和, 随意, 幽默, 幽默感, 感人).  2) Simple conversation questions Q/A.
  3. Final class time: write your pen pal letter + Ms. Chang translates your letters.

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (4/15/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can name and describe my body parts.  2) I can read text passages fluently.  3) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Exit slip.

Procedure:

1.   1) Return 10 sentences writing.  Pass out culture reading article w/exit slip.  2) Free ethnic performances (for K-12 students) from China at Cleveland State University, 6:30-8:00 pm on Saturday, 4/27/13.  Talk to Ms. Chang for details.  3) Study Abroad program presentation by Sam Koziol tomorrow.  4) Quick review (鼻子, 耳朵, 嘴巴, 头, 头发, 眉毛, 眼睛).  5) Captains check culture reading homework assignment.  Go over answer key.

2.   1) Teach new terms (脸, 长, 短, 朋, 友).  2) Go over supplementary terms handout (body parts).  3) Go over text passages on page 85.

3.   1) Pass out / go over Lesson Ten Oral Exam Sample Questions handout.  2) Conversation Questions Practice + Culture reading w/exit slip.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (4/15/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese.  2) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project.  3) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese table manners and Chinese food.

Homework: 1) Practice reading sentences #1-#4.  2) Quiz #3: Wednesday, 4/18/13.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Teach new terms (baba, mama, gege, jiejie, didi, meimei, he, liang) + sentence pattern.  2) Write sentence #4.  3) Read sentences #1-#4.
  2. 1) Culture reading: Chinese food.  2) DVD: Chinese table etiquette.
  3. Showcase art project samples (PPT).
