Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (4/19/13)

目标: 1) I can describe personality traits.  2) I can read text passages fluently.  3) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.

功课: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Practice conversation questions.  3) WB pages 60-61.  4) Story presentation / Round robin reading (pages 62-63): Monday, 4/22/13.  Round robin reading (pages 64-65): Wednesday, 4/24/13.  Round robin reading (pages 66): Friday, 4/26/13.  Lesson Six chapter test: Monday, 4/29/13.  Lesson Six oral exam: Tuesday, 4/30.


  1. 1) Captains check WB page 62.  Go over answer key.  2) Quick review (苗, 苗条, 如, 如果…就, 不如, 跟, 俩, 性, 性别, 男性, 女性, 个性, 随, 随意, 幽默, 幽默感, 奇怪, 胖, 瘦, 挺, 塌, 比, 比较, 高, 矮, 像, 长).  3) Makeup work (史尊凯,柏莉雅,史玖丹,米嘉琳,郑阳冬; 甘博力/卡蕾秋 / 林凯丽–笔友信).  4) Teach new characters (内, 内向 ó 外向, 事, 做事, 认, 认真, 挑剔).

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (4/19/13)


Objectives: 1) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.  2) (7P) I can read text passages fluently.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Practice reading text passages.   3) Oral exam: Wednesday/Thursday, 4/24-4/25/13.  Chapter test: Friday, 4/26/13.


  1. 1) Makeup work (2P: 布杰士, 柯泽杰, 柏汉娜, 柏科思, 施博凯, 郑依锦; 7P: 莫珂依, 柯安廉, 皮威特, 苏力文, 如杰生).  2)  (7P) review (王, 国王, 怡, 上, 年级, 学校, 校长, 脸, 长 ó 短, 朋友, 鼻子, 耳朵, 嘴巴, 头, 头发, 眉毛, 眼睛).  3) (7P) Read text passages on pages 85-86.
  2. 1) (7P) Teach new characters (班, 班长, 上班, 同班).  2) (2P / 7P) Conversation questions practice—add new sentences.



Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (4/19/13)


Objectives: 1) I can talk about my preferences of sports, animals, and colors.  2) I can name colors in Chinese.  3) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese New Year celebrations.

Homework: 1) Art project due: Tuesday, 4/23/13.  2) Oral presentation starts on Wednesday, 4/24/13.  3) Quiz #4: Wednesday, 4/24/13.


  1. 1) Return papers.  Makeup work (7P: Austin).  2) Quick review (hong se, huang se, hei se, bai se).  3) Teach new terms (lan se, lv se, zi se, zong se).  4) Pass out / go over sports handout.  Supplementary terms?  5) Write sentences #8-#10.  Collect.
  2. 1) DVD: Chinese New Year celebrations.  2) Showcase decorations for the Chinese New Year celebration.
