Procedures for 4/22/13

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (4/22/13)

目标: 1) I can comprehend and read text passages fluently.  2) I can ask and answer conversation questions.

功课: 1) WB pages 62 + 66.  2) Round robin reading (pages 64-65): Wednesday, 4/24/13.


1.   1) Return 3rd pen pal letters.  Final work due on this Thursday.  Makeup work (史尊凯; 李文敦 / 甘士凯 —笔友的信).  阳冬, 谷特妮 & 卡蕾秋 talk to Ms. Chang, please.  2)  Due to lockdown drill on Monday, 4/29, Lesson Six chapter test is rescheduled to Tuesday, 4/30/13.  Oral exam: Wednesday/Thursday, 5/1 + 5/2/13 at Red Lab.  3) Captains check WB pages 60-61.  Go over answer key.  4) Go over text passages on pages 64-top of 66.  5) Read text passages on pages 62-63.

2.   1) Pair activity: practice conversation questions + practice reading your story sentences ó Round robin reading.



Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (4/22/13)


Objectives: 1) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.  2) I can read text passages fluently.  3) (7P) I can comprehend audio file.

Homework: 1) (2P) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Practice conversation questions.  3) WB page 66.


1.   1) Makeup work—PPT slides (2P: 柯泽杰, 施博凯, 郑依锦; 7P: 莫珂依, 苏力文).  Discuss Voki issue.  3) (2P) Teach new characters (班, 班长, 上班, 同班).

2.  1) Read / go over text passages on pages (2P) 85-86 / (7P) 85-87.  2) (7P) Listening activity: WB page 64.  Go over answer key.  3) Conversation questions practice—(2P) add new sentences.  Conversation Q/A.



Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (4/22/13)


Objectives: 1) I can say colors in Chinese.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese lunar calendar and Chinese language program in America.  3) I can talk about myself in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Art project due tomorrow.  2) Oral presentation starts on Wednesday, 4/24/13.  Bring in your work/book to study tomorrow.  3) Quiz #4: Wednesday, 4/24/13.


  1. 1) Return oral presentation draft.  Read 10 sentences.  2) Quick review (hong se, huang se, hei se, bai se, lan se, lv se, zi se, zong se).  3) Teach new terms (cheng se, hui se, fen hong se).
  2. Culture reading: Chinese Lunar Calendar + Chinese New Year.
  3. 1) Show and tell time: more art project samples (movie + singing).  2) DVD: Learning Chinese in American Schools.  Introduce Chinese I class roster + Chinese Class activities.
