Procedures for 5/1/13

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (5/1/13)

目标: 1) I can learn to use Movie Maker or Photo Story software to create a story about my travel plan to China.  2) I can research information about famous attractions/tourist sites in China.

功课: Save all your pictures of famous tourist sites and names of attractions in various cities in your H drive.

程序:

  1. 1) Check PB for your Lesson Six chapter test grade.  Ask for a retake form if you score lower than 48.4, please.  Ms. Chang is not available after school tomorrow due to a drill debriefing.  2) Makeup work—round robin reading (甘博力, 乐芝蕾, 米嘉琳, 莫薇芝, 柏莉雅,史科礼—page 66).  3) Google information about famous attractions in various cities in China (Beijing北京, Xi’an 西安, Nanjing 南京, Hong Kong香港, Gui Ling桂林, Chongqing重庆, Shanghai上海, Hangzhou杭州, Suzhou苏州, etc.) and be sure you know the names of the attractions and save the pictures.  In your travel video project, you need to visit at least two attractions in three different cities (a total of 7 places).  All pictures of attractions and cities should be presented in your video.  Meanwhile you need to include in your project things that you plan to bring with you in your trip to China.
  2. (For tomorrow) Click the following links, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0oH9qE9qEY (Photostory 3 tutorial for windows) and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLTQfI9K2Fc (for the tutorials of Movie Maker 2.6).  Please download Photo Story (photo) or movie maker (video clips) at your home computer and start playing around with it.

Procedure for MS 7P Chinese I (5/1/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about my food preferences.  2) I can work with a partner to review grammars and sentence patterns.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Know new characters by Friday.

Procedure:

1.      1) Return chapter test papers + character writing worksheet.  2) Go over common writing problems (, , , , ).  3) Teach new characters (饿, , , , , 东西).  4) Video clip (东西).

2.      Makeup work (Andrew, Alexa, Justin, Owen, Sean, Sam, Chloe, Tim, Ahkien, Mei-Ling, Jackson) ó Unscrambled sentences + Grammar correction worksheet.

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (5/1/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can define what Hanyu Pinyin is.  2) I can acquire historical, geographical, and cultural knowledge about China major cities in China.  3) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.

Homework: Quiz #1: 5/17/13.

Procedure:

1.      1) Any signature slip?  2) Makeup work (5P: Victoria).  3) (3P) Our 8th graders have to take OAA and miss our class today.  Please consider to adopt one 8th grader, please.  4) Return your Spanish project from Mrs. Cerrato.  2) (3P) DVD: Shanghai / Chongqing.

2.      Pair activity / independent work (20 minutes): complete China reading packet.  Collect at the end of the class period.

3.      Pass out / go over Introduction to Hanyu Pinyin handout.
