Procedures for 5/2/13

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (5/2/13)

目标: 1) I can learn to use Movie Maker or Photo Story software to create a story about my travel plan to China.  2) I can research information about famous attractions/tourist sites in China. All of my data are stored online using SODAPDF, click here to get sodapdf forms.

功课: Save all your pictures of famous tourist sites and names of attractions in various cities in your H drive.

  1. 1) Ms. Chang is not available after school this afternoon due to a staff meeting about drill debriefing.  2) Makeup work (乐迪恩, 乐芝蕾).  All makeup work should be done by the end of Friday, please.  Ms. Chang may be available at 8P at HS tomorrow.  Please check for possibility tomorrow.  3) Google information about famous attractions in various cities in China (Beijing北京, Xi’An 西安, Nanjing 南京, Hong Kong香港, Gui Ling桂林, Chongqing重庆, Shanghai上海, Hangzhou杭州, Suzhou苏州, etc.) and be sure you know the names of the attractions and down load the pictures.  In your travel video project, you need to visit at least two attractions in three different cities.  All pictures of attractions and cities should be presented in your video.  Meanwhile you need to include in your project things that you plan to bring with you in your trip to China.
  2. Click the links provided by Ms. Chang to get some ideas about popular attractions in each city
  3. Click the following links, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0oH9qE9qEY (Photostory 3 tutorial for windows) and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLTQfI9K2Fc (for the tutorials of Movie Maker 2.6).  Please download Photo Story (photo) or movie maker (video clips) at your home computer and start playing around with it.
  4. Take oral exam + Read pen pal letter.

 

Procedure for MS 7P Chinese I (5/2/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions. 2) I can prepare for my final through reviewing grammars and sentence patterns.

Homework: Practice conversation questions.

Procedure:

  1. 1) PEP assembly bell schedule tomorrow.  2) Quick review (饿, 渴, 喝, 吃, 东, 东西).  3) Makeup work (Jackson, Tim, Sean, Justin, Andrew, Chloe).  4) Who’s coming for Chinese Club meeting?  5) Pass out / go over Lesson Eleven conversation questions handout.
  2. 1) Complete / Go over grammar worksheet + unscrambled sentences worksheet.  2) Round robin reading makeup work ó Conversation questions practice (Lessons 7-11).

 

 

Procedure for MS 5P Exploratory Chinese (5/2/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can acquire historical and cultural knowledge about China.

Homework: 1) Review learned greeting terms.  2) Signature slip due tomorrow.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Any signature slip?  Makeup work (Ryan, Bri, Elizabeth, Megan, Anja, Jeremy, Victoria).  Pep Assembly bell schedule tomorrow.  2) Finish up Introduction to Hanyu Pinyin handout.  3) Teach new terms (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Lao Shi).
  2. 1) Culture reading: culture reading packet page 2.  2) DVD: Shanghai + Chongqing.  3) Pass out a chart o 8 picture characters.
