Procedures for 5/3/13

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (5/3/13)

目标: 1) I can talk about my travel plan and my preparation for the trip, and read an itinerary.  2) I can understand the requirements for my travel project.

功课: 写新生字。2

程序:

  1. 1) Ms. Chang will be available at HS at around 1:40 today.  2) Browse through Lesson Seven.  3) Teach new characters with terms (旅, 旅行, 行李, 旅客, 算, 打算).
  2. Pass out / go over Travel project checklist.

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (5/3/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can name various Chinese food items.  2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.  3) I can review grammar and sentence patterns for my final exam.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  Know all 10 characters by next Monday, 5/6/13.  2) Practice conversation questions.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (饿, 渴, 喝, 吃, 东, 东西).  2) Teach new terms (治, 三明治, 堡, 汉堡包 / 汉堡, 热, 热狗, 牛, 奶, 奶水).
  2. (7P) 1) PPT slides about various breakfast items.  2) Pass out / go over Chinese food handout.
  3. (2P) 1) Pass out / go over Lesson Eleven Sample Conversation Questions handout.  2) Review Making Grammar Corrections.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P Exploratory Chinese (5/3/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about China.

Homework: 1) Review learned greeting terms.  2) Quiz #1: 5/17/13.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Any signature slip?  2) Teach new terms (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Lao Shi).
  2. 2.      1) Culture reading: culture reading packet pages 2-3.  2) Pass out square paper and table of 8 Chinese picture characters. 

 

 

Procedure for MS 5P Exploratory Chinese (5/3/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can write simple Chinese picture characters.  3) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese language and writing system.

Homework: 1) Review learned greeting terms.  2) Chinese character writing assignments.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Any signature slip?  2) Quick review (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Lao Shi).  3) Teach new terms (Zai Jian, Zao, Zao An, Zao Shan Hao).  4) Video clips (Chinese characters + Ni Hao).
  2. 1) Culture reading: culture reading packet pages 3-5.  2) Pass out / go over square paper.  3) Teach new character (man/people/person).
