Procedures for 5/6/13

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (5/6/13)

目标: 1) I can understanding the requirements for my writing assignment.  2) I can talk about my travel plan.  3) I can comprehend text passages and conversation questions.  4) I can gain cultural knowledge about two Chinese expressions.

功课: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Writing a paragraph about your personality traits + physical description (Chinese III level).  Due Wednesday, 5/8/13.  3) Practice reading text page 74.

程序:

  1. 1) Quick review (旅行, 行李, 旅客, 旅馆, 打算).  2) Work in Red Lab this Thursday to learn about Photostory and insert pictures of places that you want to visit.  3) Teach new characters (暑, 中暑, 假, 假人, 暑假, 春假, 寒假, 参, 参加, 些, 这些, 那些, 哪些, 安, 西安, 平安).
  2. 1) Read / Go over text page 74.  2) Video clips: (吃醋 / 东西).  3) Explain requirements for the paragraph about your personality traits + physical description.  4) Pass out / go over Lesson Seven sample conversation questions handout.

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (5/6/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about food preferences.  2) I can prepare for my final exam by reviewing sentence patterns and scrambled sentences worksheets.  3) I can read text passages fluently.  4) I can name various Chinese food items.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Practice conversation questions.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (三明治, 汉堡包 / 汉堡, 热狗, 牛奶, 饿, 渴, 喝, 吃, 东西).  2) Teach new characters (想, 果, 汁, 水果, 冰, 淇, 淋, 冰水, 冰棒).  3) Read text passages on page 93.
  2. 2P: 1) Pass out / Go over Chinese food handout.  2) Review Making Grammar Corrections worksheet.  3) Practice conversation questions.
  3. 7P: 1) Finish up going over Chinese food handout.  2) Review scrambled sentences worksheet.  3) Practice conversation questions.

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P Exploratory Chinese (5/6/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese characters.  3) I can write simple Chinese characters.

Homework: 1) Review 8 learned terms.  2) Chinese character writing assignment.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Lao Shi).  2) Teach new terms (Zai Jian, Zao, Ni Zao, Zao An, Zao Shang Hao).  3) Makeup work (Jaclyne, Jonah).
  2. 1) DVD: Chinese characters.  2) Teach characters (man/people/person, sun, moon).

 

 

Procedure for MS 5P Exploratory Chinese (5/6/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can write simple Chinese characters.  3) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese characters.

Homework: 1) Review 12 learned terms.  2) Chinese character writing assignment.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (Zai Jian, Zao, Ni Zao, Zao An, Zao Shang Hao, Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Lao Shi, 人).  2) Teach new terms (Wu An, Wan An, Shang Ke, Xia Ke).  3) Makeup work (Jeremy, Anja, Victoria).
  2. 1) DVD Chinese characters.  2) Teach characters (sun, moon).
