Procedures for 5/7/13

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (5/7/13)

目标: 1) I can write about myself.  2) I can read text passages fluently.  3) I can plan and write down a detailed itinerary for my travel plan.

功课: 1) Practice reading text passages on page 74.  Round robin reading (pages 74-75): Friday, 5/10/13.  2) Paragraph due tomorrow.  3) Lesson Seven chapter test: Friday, 5/24/13.  Lesson Seven oral exam is due on Wednesday, 5/23/13.  PhotoStory / Movie Maker project due on Wednesday, 5/23/13.

程序:

1.      1) Quick review (旅行, 行李, 旅客, 旅馆, 打算, 中暑, 假人, 暑假, 春假, 寒假, 参加, 这些, 那些, 哪些, 西安, 平安).  2) Read text page 74.

2.      1) Go over sample itinerary.  2) Conversation questions Q/A (final exam review)—text page 115.  3) Class work: write your paragraph.

Procedure for HS Chinese I (5/7/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.  2) I can review grammar and sentence patterns for my final exam.  3) I can talk about food and drink preferences.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  Know all 15 characters by Thursday, 5/8/13.  2) Practice conversation questions.  3) Bring your PPT slides for reading tomorrow.

Procedure:

1.      1) Quick review (饿, , , , 东西, , 果汁, 水果, 冰淇淋, 冰水, 冰棒).  2) Teach new terms (, 三明治, , 汉堡包 / 汉堡, , 热狗, 牛奶).  3) Read text passages on page 93.

2.      1) Write sentences about your favorite food and drinks.  2) Pair activity: practice conversation questions.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (5/7/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese calligraphy.  3) I can write simple Chinese characters.

Homework: 1) Review learned terms.  2) Chinese character writing assignment.

Procedure:

1.      (3P) 1) Quick review (8 terms + 3 characters).  2) Teach new terms (Wu An, Wan An, Shang Ke, Xia Ke).

2.      (5P) 1) Quick review (12 terms + 3 characters).  2) Teach new terms (Xie Xie, Bu Xie, Bu Ke Qi)

3.      1) Video clips (sun, moon, person).  2) Teach Chinese characters (tree, mountain).

4.      1) Culture reading: Chinese calligraphy.  2) Showcase paper + ink stone + ink stick + brush pen.
