Procedures for 5/10/13

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (5/10/13)

目标: 1) I can read a travel itinerary.  2) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.  3) I can read text passages fluently.

功课: 1) WB page70 .  2) Chinese character writing assignment.  3) Read text page 78 + supplementary itinerary handout.  Draft your own itinerary w/packing/weather condition terms.


  1. 1) Work on / type your itinerary in Media Center Classroom next Thursday, 5/16/13.  2)  Quick review (上海, 住, 桂林, 玩, 好玩, 地方, 旅行, 行李, 旅客, 旅馆, 打算, 中暑, 假人, 暑假, 春假, 寒假, 参加, 这些, 那些, 哪些, 西安, 平安).  3) Go over answer key to WB page 67-68.  4) Teach new characters (程, 行程, 飞, 飞机, 过, 夜, 从, 从…到…, 机场, 沙发, 出发, 回).
  2. 1) Go over text page 78.  2) Round robin reading ó Conversation questions practice.



Procedure for HS Chinese I (5/10/13)


Objectives: I can complete my PPT project.

Homework: 1) Practice reading your PPT project.  2) Practice conversation questions.


1.   1) Create a slide about your preferences of food and drinks.  2) Use your check list to make sure you cover all requirements for this project.



Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (5/10/13)


Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese folk art of cutting papers + Daily routines in Chinese Schools.  3) I can practice holding chopsticks and picking up Cheerios.

Homework: Review 23 learned terms.


  1. 1) Quick review (19 terms + 8 characters).  2) Teach new terms (tong xue men hao, dong le ma, dong le, bu dong).  3) Complete paper cut patterns.  Check completion for participation grade.
  2. 1) DVD / Video clips: Daily routines in Chinese Schools / (3P) Chopsticks / Dumplings.  2) (5P) Culture reading: pages 3, 5, 6.
