Procedures for 5/14/13

Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (5/14/13)

目标: 1) I can ask and answer simple conversation questions.  2) I can read text passages fluently.  3) I can make detailed itinerary for my travel plan.

功课: 1) WB pages 71-72.  2) Practice reading text passages on pages 76 / 78.  3) Draft your itinerary.  Due Friday.  4) Read text pages 79-80.

程序:

1.      1) Ms. Chang is not available after school today due to a district-wide strategic meeting.  2) Read text passages in pages 76 / 78.

2.      1) Go over key points in pages with sentence patterns: 79-80.  2) Class activity: WB page 69.  Share result.  3) Conversation  Q/A.  4) Class work: round robin reading + do WB homework + draft your itinerary.

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (5/14/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can name various Chinese breakfast items.  2) I can ask and answer simple Chinese questions.  3) I can review for my final exam.  4) I can read text passages fluently.

Homework: 1) Practice reading text passages.  2) Practice conversation questions.  3) WB page 76.

Procedure:

1.      1) Quick review (, , , , 筷子, , 果汁, 水果, 冰淇淋, 冰水, 冰棒, 三明治, 汉堡包 / 汉堡, 热狗, 牛奶, 饿, , , , 东西).  2) Read text passages on page 73, 75.  3) Pass out / go over Chinese breakfast items handout.

2.      1) Pair activity: Dictation / Assemble characters into paragraph.  2) Conversation questions Q/A.

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (5/14/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say and write numbers in Chinese.  2) I can say simple Chinese greetings terms and classroom expressions.  3) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese tea.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Review learned 8 number characters.  3) Quiz #2: Friday, 5/24/13.

Procedure:

1.      1) Quick review (4 number characters + 8 picture characters + 25 terms).  2) Teach new characters (five, six, seven, eight).

2.      1) DVD: Chinese tea.  2) Show and tell: tea set / tea leaves. 3) Sample tea.
