Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (5/17/13)

目标: 1) I can read text passages fluently.  2) I can comprehend text passages and audio file about traveling.

功课: 1) WB pages 76-77.  2) Review session: Monday + Tuesday, 5/20-5/21.  Work in Red Lab / oral exam: Wednesday / Thursday, 5/21-5/22.  Chapter test: Friday, 5/24/13.  Travel project due: Thursday, 5/23.

程序:

  1. 1) Captains check WB page 73.  Go over answer key to WB page 73.  2) Ms. Chang collects your itinerary draft.  3) Go over text passages on pages 82-83.  4) Listening activity: WB page 79.  Go over answer key.
  2. 1) Video clip: Three Gorges.  2) Round robin reading (pages 76 / 78) ó Conversation questions practice + text passages reading + WB homework.

 

 

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (5/17/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about my skills of holding chopstick and cooking Chinese dishes.  2) I can comprehend audio file about food/drink preferences.  3) I can talk about my food preferences.  4) I can comprehend text passages.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) WB pages 69 / 73.  3) Practice reading text passages and conversation questions.  4) Write sentences about your preferences of food and drinks.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Work in Media Center next Monday.  2) Teach new characters (做, 做饭, 做菜, 肉, 牛肉, 鸡, 鸡肉, 鱼肉, 春, 春天, 卷, 春卷, 龙卷风, 片, 鸡片, 生鱼片, 炸/魚片, 虾, 龙虾, 炸, 炸虾片, 柠檬汁, 柠檬水, 古老肉).  3) Read text passages on page 94.
  2. 1) (2P) Listening activity: WB page 75.  Go over the answer key.  2) Sample / Enjoy Chinese breakfast items.

 

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (5/17/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can showcase my mastery of Chinese greeting terms and classroom expressions.  2) I can understand Chinese counting principle and I can count numbers from zero to one hundred in Chinese.  3) I can talk about myself in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Review counting principle.  2) Review 20 Chinese characters.  Quiz #2: Friday, 5/24/13.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Makeup work (3P: Omar, Sneh).  2) Quiz #1.  3) Pass out / go over number table.  4) Count from zero to one hundred.
  2. 1) Pass out oral presentation supplementary handout.  2) Teach term (sui).  3) Make sentences #1-#2.
  3. Work on 2nd origami product.  Collect as participation grade.
