Procedure for HS 1P Chinese III (5/28/13)

目标: I can talk about my travel to China.

功课: Study for your final.


1.      1) Due to an Honors Assembly, we have a revised bell schedule today.  1P: 7: 25-7:45; 2P: 7: 50-8:10; Assembly: approximately 8:15-9:45; 2) Makeup work (character writing assignment?  test: Priya).  3) Return chapter test papers / character worksheet.  Any request of retake?  Collect chapter test papers.  4) Makeup work (希珍薇, 史安敦, 麦珠莉, 苏丽雯, 李白丝, 金泰德, 乐迪恩, 柏丽雅, 甘博力, 李文敦, 莫薇芝).

2.      Photostory / Movie Maker / iMovie presentation.

Procedure for MS 2P/7P Chinese I (5/28/13)


Objectives: 1) I can read text passages fluently.  2) I can talk about myself in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Prepare to present your PPT, if you have not done so.  2) Complete your round robin reading ASAP.


1.      1) Makeup work (2P: 丁杰克—oral + written, 黄可儿 + 柏科思—oral, 欧良科 + 柏科思—PPT printout + file; 7P: 简本特, 丁雅丽, 马蕾莎—chapter test + character worksheet; 莫珂依 (1), 柯安廉 (2), 简本特 (2)—PPT printout + file; ).  2) Return character writing assignment / chapter test paper.  Any retake request?  3) Go over common writing mistakes (, , , ).

2.      Round robin reading (Lesson Eleven text passage) ó PPT presentation.  Volunteering or random drawing?



Procedure for MS 3P/5P Exploratory Chinese (5/28/13)


Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese zodiac animals.  3) I can enjoy Chinese version finger guessing game.  4) I can name colors in Chinese.

Homework: Review counting principle / number table.  Quiz #3: Friday, 5/31/13.


1.      (3P) 1) Pass out colored strips w/index cards.  Make flash cards.  2) Teach terms (hong se, huang se, bai se).  3) Introduce pinyin typing website.

2.      (5P) 1) Quick review (8 colors).  2) Teach new terms (cheng se, hui se, fen hong se).  3) Teach terms (xi huan, zui).  4) Write sentences #8-#10.  5) Practice reading sentences #1-#10.  Collect.  6) Finger guessing tournament.
