Procedures for 8/27/13

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P/2P/8P (8/27/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can discriminate / blend to pronounce Chinese pinyin syllables.  2) (1P / 2P) I can use correct stroke order to write simple Chinese characters.

Homework: 1) Old China reading packet (17 questions).  Due tomorrow.  2) Signature slip due tomorrow.  School supplies due on Friday.  3) Review learned syllables for dictation.

Procedure:

1.      1) Signature slip (1P: Lexi; 2P: Abigail; 8P: Tina)?  China reading packet homework (1P: Aaron, Lexi, Sara C.; 2P: Patricia; 8P: Troy, Sydney, Emily, Rianna, Sean, Ian, Sara C.)?  Missing e-mail address (1P: Joshua—parent’s; 2P: Cameron, Patricia, Jonathan, Jacob—parent’s; 8P: Tina—parent’s).  Missing 8P e-mail address list.  2) Check out final seating chart and class number.  3) Pass out Chinese Club application form.

2.      1) Dictation (bpmf handout).  2) Teach (bpmf) handout.

3.      1) (1P) Pass out / go over Chinese basic stroke order handout + square paper.  2) Pair activity: Practice time: blending pinyin + review learned characters.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (8/27/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can write simple Chinese characters.

Homework: 1) Review learned terms.  2) Chinese character writing assignment.

Procedure:

1.      1) Missing China reading packet (3P: Katie, Katherine; 5P: Jillian).  Any signature slips (3P: Anne; 5P: Evan, Shane)?  MS open house this Thursday night.  2) Quick review (5 terms + 1 character).

2.      1) Teach new terms (Zao, Ni Zao, Zao An, Zao Shang Hao, Zhang Lao Shi).  2) Teach Chinese characters (moon, mountain).
