Procedures for 8/30/13

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P/2P/8P (8/30/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can utilize a website utility to find out my learning style.  2) I can learn to write and pronounce my Chinese name.  3) I can use a website tool to test the accuracy of my listening skill.

Homework: 1) Chinese name writing assignment.  Each character writes two rows.  Due (1P + 2P) next Wednesday, (8P) next Thursday (formative assessment: 10 points).  2) Learning Style Inventory due today.  3) Quiz #1 (bpmf handout): Monday, September 9, 2013.

Procedure:

1.      1) Missing China reading packet homework (8P: Grant, Tyler, Sean).  2) Write “Housekeeping Info,” “Homework,” “Quizzes/Exam,” “Handouts,” and “Checklist / Rubric” on your tabs.  3) Ms. Chang checks your school supplies.

2.      Please log onto to your e-mail account, read your e-mails and open an attachment.  Follow the instructions there to do a learning style inventory, and then use the website tool to learn to write your Chinese name.  If you are done, click the third link to play computer game to test your listening accuracy.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (8/30/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese chopsticks and Chinese characters.  3) I can use chopsticks to pick up food.

Homework: Review 24 learned terms.

Procedure:

1.      1) Collect / return Chinese character writing assignment (3P: Clay, Katherine; 5P: Molly, Anita).  2) No school on Tuesday, 9/3/13.  3) Quick review (19 terms + 8 Chinese characters).  4) Teach new terms (Shang Ke, Xia Ke, Dong le ma, Dong le, Bu Dong).

2.      1) DVD: Chinese schools + Chinese chopsticks.  2) Class activity: chopsticks practice.
