Procedures for 9/5/13

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P/2P/8P (9/5/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can discriminate / blend consonants and vowels.  2) I can define / locate municipalities in China.  3) (8P) I can write simple Chinese characters.

Homework: 1) Review all learned syllables.  2) (8P) Chinese character writing assignment.

Procedure:

1.   1) Share significance of learning styles.  2) Go over common writing mistakes.  3) Define / Compare autonomous regions with special administrative regions.  4) Contents for tabs (housekeeping / general information, handouts, quizzes / tests / exams, homework / worksheets, checklists / rubrics).  5) (8P) Teach characters (water, fire).

2.   1) Dictation (f section).  2) Class / pair activity: read all syllables ó get a textbook / check school supplies.

3.   Video clips: Beijing / Shanghai.  (8P) video clips: 2 autonomous regions.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (9/5/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say and write numbers from zero to ten in Chinese.  2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese folk arts of cutting papers.  3) I can self-assess my knowledge of greeting terms.

Homework: 1) Review 4 learned number terms.  2) Chinese character writing assignment.

Procedure:

1.      1) Quick review (27 terms).  2) Pass out square paper.  3) Teach / write numbers (1-4).

2.      1) DVD: Chinese paper cuts.  3) Pass out / go over paper patterns.
