Procedures for Chinese I 1P/2P/8P (9/6/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can discriminate / blend consonants and vowels.  2) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms and classroom expressions.  3) (1P) I can gain cultural knowledge about Shanghai.

Homework: 1) Quiz #1 (bpmf): Monday, 9/9/13.  Quiz #2 (dtnl): Monday, 9/16/13.  2) Review learned greeting terms & syllables.

Procedure:

1.      1) (8P) Collect Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Dictation (bpmf).  3) Teach (greeting terms).

2.      1) Teach d section.  2) Class: blend sounds.

3.      (1P) Video clips: Shanghai.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (9/6/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can explore Chinese folk art of cutting paper patterns.  2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese language.  3) I can comprehend greeting terms, classroom expressions & numbers.

Homework: 1) Quiz #1 (greeting terms / classroom expressions): Monday, 9/9/13.  2) Quiz #2 (12 numbers characters + 8 picture characters): Monday, 9/16/13.

Procedure:

1.      1) Quick review (27 terms + 4 numbers).  2) Culture reading: pages 3-5.  Showcase Chinese publications + seals.

2.      Class activity: cutting paper patterns (longevity).
