Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P/2P/8P (9/10/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can discriminate / blend consonants and vowels.  2) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms and classroom expressions.  3) I can define / locate four Chinese municipalities on a map.  4) (2P/8P) I can call my classmates by their Chinese name.

Homework: Review learned greeting terms & syllables.

Procedure:

1.      1) Collect work (2P: Patricia; 8P: Alex).  Makeup quiz #1 (8P: Ryan).  2) Check school supplies (Sydney, Erica, Stephanie, Luke, Rosa, Jenna, Rianna) + claim / sign textbook (1P: Bradley; 2P: Shaan, Taylor; 8P: Troy + Stephanie).  3) Get an E/I pass after class for Friday retake, if interested. 4) (2P/8P) Pass out / go over Chinese names.  5) Show quiz #1 result.

2.      1) Dictation (t) + Quick review (greeting terms).  2) Teach (greeting terms).  3) Teach n section.  4) Video clips: (1P) Tianjing + Chongqing.  (2P / 8P) Tianjing.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (9/10/13)

 

 

Objectives: 1) I can explore Chinese folk art of cutting papers.  2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese pronunciation and Chinese calligraphy.  3) I can say / write numbers from zero ten, and hundred unit in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  Due tomorrow.  2) Review learned numbers.

Procedure:

1.      1) Quick review (8 numbers + 8 picture characters).  2) Makeup quiz #1 (3P: Clay + Claire; 5P: Brandon + Allyson).  3) Audio file.

2.      1) Teach / write Chinese numbers (9, 10, 0, and hundred).  2) Culture reading: China pages 5-6.

3.      1) (3P) Video clip: Chinese calligraphy.  2) (3P) Showcase Chinese paper cut products / four treasures of study.  3) Complete your paper cutting for grade.
