Procedures for 9/11/13

Chinese I 1P/2P/8P (9/11/13)

 Objectives: 1) I can discriminate / blend consonants and vowels.  2) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms and classroom expressions.  3) I can define / locate four Chinese municipalities on a map.

Homework: 1) Review learned greeting terms & syllables.  2) WB page 1.


1.      1) Picture day tomorrow.  It will be during your LA class.  2) Check school supplies.  3) Showcase Pinyin summative assessment packets.  4) Display final Chinese Club member list.

2.      1) Dictation (n) + Quick review (greeting terms).  2) Class activity: reading syllables + (8P) classmates’ Chinese name.  3) Teach (greeting terms).  4) Teach l section.

3.      (1P / 2P) Pair activity: Culture reading: Lesson One + WB page 1.




Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (9/11/13)


Objectives: 1) (3P) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese lucky and unlucky numbers.  2) (5P) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese calligraphy.  3) I can write / count numbers from zero to one hundred in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Review learned numbers + picture characters.  2) Review Chinese counting principle.


1.      1) Collect Chinese character writing assignment.  One paper without name?? (5P) Collect paper cutting products.  2) Makeup quiz (3P: Claire; 5P: Brandon + Nicki).  3) Quick review (12 numbers + 8 picture characters).

2.      1) Pass out Chinese number table / go over Chinese counting principle.  2) Count from zero to one hundred.  3) (5P) Video clip: Chinese calligraphy.  Showcase the Four Treasure of the Study.  4) (3P) Culture reading: Chinese lucky and unlucky schools.
