Procedures for 9/13/13

Chinese I 1P/2P/8P (9/13/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can discriminate / blend consonants and vowels.  2) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms and classroom expressions.  3) I can gain culture knowledge about Chinese characters, municipalities, pinyin system and other cultural aspects of China.  I

Homework: 1) Review learned greeting terms & syllables.  2) Quiz #2: Monday, 9/16/13.  3) WB pages 4 & 8 due on Monday, 9/16/13.

Procedure:

1.      1) (HR) Collect dress-down day donation. Report to 1P during E/I today.  2) Collect Goals-Setting form.  3) Dictation (dtnl) + Quick review (greeting terms).  4) Teach (greeting terms).

2.      1) Video clips: (1P) Caveman characters (moon) / (2P / 8P) Chongqing.  2) Move to media center with your stuff.  Log onto your e-mail account, open the attachment, and click any links that are interesting to you, please.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (9/13/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can explore folding paper.  2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese martial arts.  3) I can say / write numbers from zero to one hundred in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Review Chinese counting principle. 2) Quiz #2: Monday, 9/16/13.  3) Quiz #3 (connecting the dots from 1 to one hundred): Monday, 9/23/13.

Procedure:

1.      1) Missing test / homework (3P: Claire: characters; 5P: Brandon: characters + paper cuts.  2) Count from zero to one hundred.  3) Audio files (1-3, 3-1, 1-7, 7-1; Chinese numbers rap).

2.      1) Make 1 origami product (pin wheel).  Collect as class participation grade.  2) (5P) Finger guessing game tournament.  3) Video clips: Martial Arts.
