Procedures for 9/17/13

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P/2P/8P (9/17/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can discriminate / blend vowels and consonants.  2) I can say simple greeting terms and classroom expressions.  3) I can gain cultural and historical knowledge about China.

Homework: 1) Review learned greeting terms / syllables.  2) WB pages 3 / 7.

Procedure:

1.      1) Opening routine.  Missed homework (2P: Jake / Patricia / Cameron / Taylor; 8P: Tyler / Sean).  (1P) Victor passes out / shares one technology tip.  2) Share quiz results.  Review confusing blending.  Return papers.  3) Quick review (greeting terms).  4) Go over (section g / k).  5) Class activity: read out loud syllables.

2.      1) Teach greeting terms (Dui Bu Qi, Mei Guan Xi).  2) Culture reading: text pages 1-3.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (9/17/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can count from zero to one hundred.  2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese Terra Cotta Warriors and Chinese family structure.  3) I can talk about myself in Chinese.

Homework: Practice reading sentences #1-#2.

Procedure:

1.      1) Makeup quiz (5P: Cal).  Return quiz papers.  2) (5P) Complete gift box.  3) Count from zero to one hundred.

2.      1) Pass out / go over oral presentation handout.  2) Teach new terms (sui).  3) Write / read sentences #1-#2.  4) Video clip: Terra Cotta Warriors.  5) Culture reading: family size.
