Procedure for MS Chinese I 8P (9/23/13)
Objectives: 1) (1P / 8P) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese writing & pronunciation. 2) (1P / 2P) I can self-assess my Chinese proficiency. 3) I can prepare for my chapter test.
Homework: Quiz #4 (gkhjqx): Tuesday, 10/1/13. Lesson One chapter test: Friday, 9/27/13.
Procedure:
1. 1) Opening routine. The following students (1P: Bradley, Sara, Lexi, Josh, Aaron; 2P: Jacob/Patricia—learning style pie charts; Taylor, James, Shaan, Bryce, Grant, Patrick; 8P: Bryan/Luke—learning style pie chart), please rewrite your Goal-Setting form. (2P) Weekend Library service learning? (1P / 2P) Return your Mid-Autumn worksheet. Fix mistakes and resubmit for full-credit, please. Sharing pictures from Mid-Autumn Festival celebration.
2. 1) (1P / 2P) Self-Assessment. 2) Pass out / go over study guide for Lesson One chapter test.
3. 1) (1P / 8P) Culture reading: text pages 4 / 5. 2) Quiz #3.
Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (9/23/13)
Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese. 2) I can understand the requirements for my art project. 3) I can count / recognize characters from one to eighty-four.
Homework: 1) Art project due: Tuesday, 10/1/13. 2) Oral presentation: Wednesday / Thursday, 10/2 and 10/3. New rotation starts on Monday, 10/7/13.
Procedure:
1. 1) (3P) Makeup work w/pass—draft #1 (Clay, Adrian, Colin, Brandon). Return draft #1. 2) Practice reading sentences #1-#7.
2. 1) Pass out / go over art project requirement slip. 2) Quiz #3.
