Procedures for 9/26/13

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P/2P/8P (9/26/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can discriminate / blend vowels and consonants.  2) (1P) I can self-assess my Chinese proficiency.  3) (1P / 2P) I can say / write numbers in Chinese.  4) I can review for my chapter test.

Homework: 1) Review learned syllables and number characters.  2) Chapter test tomorrow.  Quiz #4 (g, k, h, j, q, x): Tuesday, 10/1/13.

Procedure:

1.      1) Opening routine.  Turn in makeup work—goal setting form, please (1P: Bradley, Josh; 2P: Taylor, Shaan, Bryce; 8P: Bryan—learning style).  2) Dictation (q, x).  3) Quick review (1-4).

2.      1) Sound out (q, x) syllables.  2) (1P) Self-Assessment.  Collect your self-assessment worksheet.

3.      Review game.

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (9/26/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about my preferences of colors in Chinese.  2) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese zodiac animals & the legend of pandas.  3) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project.  4) I can explore tangram piece game.

Homework: 1) Work on your art projects.  2) Practice reading sentences #1-#10.

Procedure:

1.      1) Quick review (8 colors).  2) Teach terms for colors (cheng se, hui se, fen hong se).

2.      1) Write sentence #10.  Read sentences #1-#10.  Collect.  2) Showcase more art project samples.

3.      3) Video clips: Chinese zodiac animals.  2) (3P) Culture reading: 12 zodiac animals / the legend of Panda.
