Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P/2P/8P (9/19/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can discriminate / blend consonants and vowels.  2) I can say simple greeting terms and classroom expressions.  3) I can gain cultural knowledge and sample Chinese traditional food for the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival.

Homework: 1) Review learned syllables + greeting terms.  2) Quiz #3 (greeting terms): Monday, 9/23/13.

Procedure:

1.      1) Opening routine.  Go over answer key to WB pages 3 / 7 homework assignment.  2) Quick review (greeting terms).  3) Dictation (g / k).

2.      1) (1P / 2P) Self-Assessment of Chinese language proficiency.  2) Celebration: moon cakes + green tea + video clip.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (9/19/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese mid-autumn festival and sample Chinese tea.  2) I can talk about myself in Chinese.

Homework: Practice reading sentences #1-#5

Procedure:

1.      1) Teach new terms (sheng ri, nian, de) and Chinese date format.  2) Write sentence #5.  3) Practice reading sentences #1-#5.  (5P) Collect.

1) Video clip: Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival.  2) Sample various types of tea.
