Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P/2P/8P (9/24/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can discriminate / blend vowels and consonants.  2) I can self-assess my Chinese proficiency.  3) I can say / write numbers in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Review learned syllables and number characters.  2) Chinese character writing assignment.

Procedure:

1.      1) Opening routine.  Return quiz #3 papers.  Share quiz result.  2) Pass out Lesson Three characters worksheet.  3) Teach numbers (1, 2, 3, 4).

2.      1) Go over h / j section.  2) Self-Assessment.

3.      1) (1P / 2P) Class activity: blending sounds.  Sound out syllables.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (9/24/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about my preferences of animals in Chinese.  2) I can brainstorm ideas for my art project.  3) I can say colors in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Brainstorm ideas for your art project.  2) Practice reading sentences #1-#8.

Procedure:

1.      1) Return quiz #3 papers.  Makeup quiz (3P: Brian; 5P: Adelyn, Brandon, Logan, Anita).  2) Pass out colors index cards.  3) Teach terms for colors (hong se, huang se, hei se, bai se, xi huan).

2.      1) Pass out / go over handout for animals.  2) Write sentences #8.  3) Read sentences #1-#8.  4) (3P) Showcase art project samples.
