Procedures for 10/3/13

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (10/3/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can discriminate / blend consonants and vowels.  2) I can say numbers in Chinese; I can comprehend numbers said in Chinese; I can read and write Chinese characters for numbers.  3) I can use Chinese counting principle to count from zero to one hundred.

Homework: 1) Review learned syllables, number characters and counting principle.  2) Chinese character writing assignment.  3) WB pages 15-16.  4) Quiz #6 (4 numbers + signt reading + dictation + sounding out 4 syllables): Thursday, 10/10/13.

Procedure:

1.      1) Revised Pep rally bell schedule tomorrow.  Quick review (1-10, hundred).  (8P) Pass out Lesson Three text passages slip.  2) (2P) Teach (s) section.  3) Dictation (sh, z, c, s, r).  4) Sound out (sh, r, c, s, z) syllables.  5) Teach (0).

2.      1) Pass out / go over number table.  2) Counting from zero to one hundred.  3) Pair activity: –dictating 3 phone numbers / sight read text page 18.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (10/3/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese.  2) I can explore Chinese tangram piece game.  3) I can gain culture knowledge about Chinese famous food such as tofu and roasting duck.

Homework: N/A

Procedure:

1.      1) Makeup work—art project + oral presentation (3P: Clay, Adrian, Kylie, Brian; 5P: Britney, Rori, Anita, Brandon, Logan, Ben, Abigail, Shane, Matt).  2) Collect flash cards / handouts.  3) Quiz #4.  4) Oral presentation.

2.      Video clips: Dumplings / Roasting Duck.

1.      1) Return quiz #4 papers.  Share quiz result.  Makeup work (1P: Emma; 2P: Jake).  (1P / 2P) Pass out Lesson Three text passage slip.  2) Quick review (1-8).  3) (1P / 2P) Go over (sh, r).  Sound out syllables.  3) Go over (z, c, s) sections.  Sound out syllables.

2.      1) Teach numbers (9, 10, hundred).  2) Phone number dictation.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (10/2/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese.  2) I can explore Chinese tangram piece game.

Homework: 1) Quiz #4 tomorrow.  2) Practice reading your oral presentation, if you have not done it today.

Procedure:

1.      1) Quick review (11 colors).  Makeup work (5P: Brandon).  2) Oral presentation.

2.      Tangram piece game.

Procedures for 10/1/13

 Chinese I 2P/8P (10/1/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can discriminate and blend vowels and consonants.  2) I can say and write numbers in Chinese.

Homework: Review learned syllables and number characters.

Procedure:

1.      1) Opening routine.  Makeup work—self-assessment form (2P: Patricia + Jake; 8P: Logan).  2) Quick review (1-8).  3) Dictation (zh, ch).   Sound out syllables.   4) Go over textbook structure / Lesson Three.

2.      Quiz #4.

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (10/1/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can talk about myself in Chinese.  2) I can apply what I learned and create an art project.  3) I can say colors in Chinese.  4) I can explore Chinese tangram game.

Homework: 1) Practice reading sentences #1-#10.  Oral presentation starts on tomorrow.  Quiz 4: Thursday, 10/3/13.

Procedure:

1.      1) Quick review (11 colors).  2) Read sentences #1-#10.  3) Turn in your art project.  Showcase / present art projects.

2.      Tangram game.
