Procedures for 10/9/13

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (10/9/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can discriminate / blend consonants and vowels.  2) I can use multiplication and division operators to solve math equations in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Review learned syllables and operator characters.  2) Chinese character writing assignment.  3) WB page 20 #7-#12.  4) Quiz #6: tomorrow.  8th period starts at E/I + 8P.

Procedure:

1.      1) Opening routine.  Work at the media center tomorrow.  2) Captains check WB page 20 #1-#6.  Go over answer key.  3) (2P / 8P) Read text passages.

2.      1) Practice translating sentences.  2) (2P / 8P) Dictation (ai, ao) sections.  3) (2P) Go over (ei, ie) section.  4) Teach characters (乘以, 除以).  5) Model solving math equations.

3.      (2P / 8P) Pair activity: 1) math expression flash cards or 2) Sound out learned syllables (b p m f / d t n l / g k h j q x / zh ch sh r z c s).

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (10/9/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can gain geographical, historical and political knowledge about China.  2) I can learn basic Pinyin system.

Homework: China reading packet due tomorrow.

Procedure:

1.      1) Any signature slip?  2) Pass out and go over Introduction to Chinese Pinyin handout.

3.      1) Video clips: Beijing.  2) Pair / independent class work time: China reading packet.
