Procedures for 10/15/13

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (10/15/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple greeting terms.  2) I can introduce myself.  3) I can discriminate / blend vowels and consonants.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Review learned syllables (ou, uo).

Procedure:

1.      1) Opening routine.  Introduce Linsanity movie event.  Makeup work (2P: McKenna + Lexi; 2P: Marco + Patricia / Jake (character worksheet & oral part) + Taylor / Caroline / Yui / Natalia (oral part); 8P: Rosa, Logan, Troy, Emily, Ian).  Captains check character definitions.  Return chapter test papers / character worksheet.  2) Introduce Lesson Two structure.  3) Teach new characters (, , , ).

2.      1) Dictation (ai, ao, ei, ie) sections.  2) Go over (ou, uo) sections.

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (10/15/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can write simple Chinese characters.  3) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese characters.

Homework: 1) Review learned 18 terms.  2) Chinese character writing assignment.  Due tomorrow.

Procedure:

1.      1) Quick review (14 terms + 5 Chinese characters).  2) Class activity: practice (xie xie, bu xie or bu ke qi).

2.      1) Teach new terms (qi li, jing li, zuo xia, qing zuo).  2) Teach Chinese characters (mouth, water, fire).

3.      1) Video clips: (mouth) / Chongqing.  2) Culture reading: pages 4-6. 3) Show & tell: Chinese publications + seals.
