Procedures for 10/17/13

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (10/17/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can comprehend / say / read / write simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can discriminate / blend consonants and vowels.

Homework: 1) Study for your quiz #7 (Monday, 10/21/13).  2) Chinese character writing assignment.

Procedure:

1.      1) Opening routine.  No school tomorrow.  Makeup work (2P: Jake + Patricia).  Audio files for Compound Vowels 1 and Compound Vowels 2 handouts were sent to your e-mail account last night.  2) Dictation all 9 sections.  3) Teach (, , , , , 再见, 你们, 我们, 他们, 她们).

2.      1) (1P / 2P) Abacus videos.  2) Game time: making numbers.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (10/17/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple greeting terms.  2) I can gain cultural and historical knowledge about China schools, Chinese characters and Chopsticks.  3) I can use chopsticks to pick up food.

Homework: Review 27 learned greeting terms.

Procedure:

1.      1) Return Chinese character writing papers.  Collect papers (3P: Ada, Jaden, Justina, Alana, Kathrine; 5P: Kyle, Grace, Kassie, Evan, Sophia, Rebecca, Alec, Savannah, Sam Z.).  No school tomorrow.  2) Quick review (24 terms + 8 characters).  3) Teach new terms (Dui bu qi, mei guan qi, tong xue men hao).

2.      1Video clips: (3P) Chinese characters / (3P / 5P) Chinese chopsticks / (5P) Chinese schools.

3.   1) Pass out chopsticks.  2) Practice picking up Cheerios with chopsticks.
