Procedures for 10/30/13

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (10/30/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can sight read text passages.  2) I can blend / discriminate consonants and vowels.  3) I can use a website utility to help my reading.  4) I can introduce myself and others.

Homework: 1) Review learned syllables.  2) WB pages 10 / 13.

Procedure:

1.      1) Opening routine.  (HR) Student fee?  Work in media center tomorrow.  Return foam board / instruction sheet from dragonfly kit, please.  Pass out / go over front nasal sound handout (an, en, in) sections.  2) Dictation (y, w) + all other sections.  3) Read text passages on pages 7-9.  Sight read Lesson Two text passages.  4) Finish up Study Guide.  5) Go over text pages 10-12.

2.      1) Introduce www.cozychinese.com/convert utility.  2) Class activity: greet / introduce your classmates + teacher (4 sentences).  Q/A.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (10/30/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can count from zero to one hundred in Chinese.  2) I have gain cultural knowledge about Chinese family structure and how to address family members.  3) I can talk / write about myself in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Practice reading sentences.  2) Review counting principle.

Procedure:

1.      1) Count from zero to one hundred.  2) Teach (jia, you, ge).  2) Write sentence #3.  3) Read sentences #1-#3.  4) Video clips: Chinese silk and embroidery.
