Procedures for 10/16/13

Procedures for Chinese One 1P / 2P / 8P (10/16/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can identify common mistakes in writing Chinese characters.  2) I can introduce myself.  3) I can blend and discriminate vowels and consonants.

Homework: Review learned syllables.

Procedure:

1.      1) Open routine.  Makeup work (1P: Lexi + Sarah + McKenna + Emma; 2P: Taylor + Marco + Natalia; 8P: Rosa).  Quick review (, , , ).  Pass out Lesson Two text passages slip.  Go over common writing mistakes.  2) Go over (uo) section.  Dictation (ou, uo).  3) Teach (ua, ia, üe) sections.

2.      (1P / 2P) Game time: 1) Multiple game.  2) Number game.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (10/16/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say simple Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can write simple Chinese characters.  3) (3P) I can acquire cultural knowledge about Chinese schools.

Homework: 1) Review 23 learned terms.  2) Chinese character writing assignment due tomorrow.

Procedure:

1.     1) 7R/8th graders teach 7G students.  2) Teach new terms (Shang Ke, Xia Ke, Dong le ma, Dong le, Bu Dong).  3) Teach (water, fire).  Collect, if done.

2    1) Class activity: xie xie ó bu xie / bu ke qi.  2) (3P) Video clip: Chinese schools.
