Procedures for 10/23/13

Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (10/23/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can comprehend / say / write / read Chinese greeting terms.  2) I can blend / discriminate consonants / vowels.  3) I can sight read text passages.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Review learned compound vowels (2) syllables.  3) Quiz #8 (Compound Vowels 2): Friday, 11/1/13.  4) Practice sight reading text passages.

Procedure:

1.      1)  Opening routine.  The 1st Chinese Club meeting is at 6P tomorrow.  Bring your lunch at 6A or 6B and we have snack / drink for you.  Circle your study hall seat on the seating chart.  Return your dragonfly kit (foam board, instruction sheet) at the end of 6P tomorrow.  Chinese Club members, please remember to bring in your due.  Need a picture and art supplies to draw your kite tomorrow.  2) Makeup work (1P: McKenna; 8P: Sara, Sean, Bryan).  Check PB for accuracy, please.  2) Quick review (你好, 我是,你是,再见, 你们, 我们, 他们, 她们, 白大伟, 李兰兰).  3) Teach new characters (, , 老师, , , 同学, 一同).

2.      1) Dictation (iao, uai).  2) Go over (iu, ui) sections.  3) Sight read text passages on pages 7-9.

 

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (10/23/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can say / write numbers in Chinese.  2) I can have hands-on experience on making folding paper.  3) I can showcase my mastery of greeting terms.

Homework: 1) Reviewed learned number characters.  Chinese character writing assignment due tomorrow.  2) Paper cut patterns due tomorrow.  3) Quiz #2: Wednesday, 10/30/13.

Procedure:

1.      1) 8th graders + 7G students teach 7R students (5, 6, 7, 8)—5 minutes.  Makeup work (3P: Nathan).  2) Review (28 greeting terms).  3) Teach numbers (9, 10, 0, hundred).  Collect, if done.  4) Quiz #1.

2.    Continue to work on paper-cut patterns (pass out patterns for 7R) or write Chinese characters.  Collect as class work / homework grade, if done.
