Procedure for MS Chinese I 1P / 2P / 8P (10/24/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can blend / discriminate consonants and vowels.  2) I can create and design my kite.

Homework:1) Review learned syllables.  2) WB page 13.  3) Practice Quizlet Lesson Two online flash cards, http://quizlet.com/3629391/ni-hao-1-lesson-2-vocabulary-flash-cards/.

Procedure:

1.      1) Opening routine.  Makeup work (2P: Taylor, Cameron).  Draw a number for your seat for 2nd quarter, please.   Choose a new captain for your group.  8P students have martial art lesson on 10/28/13.  1P / 2P students will have martial art lesson on 10/29/13.  Know all stances before Monday and Wear something loose, please.  A big Thank You to the following students for Chinese Club snack / drink (Katie, Rosa, Michael, Patrick, Hanna, Grace).  PB’s Parent Access will be off starting this afternoon through next Friday.  Report cards will be distributed next Friday.  2) Quick review (老师, 同学, 你好, 我是,你是,再见, 你们, 我们, 他们, 她们, 白大伟, 李兰兰).  3) Go over (un, uan) sections.

2.      Pass out xuan paper (rice paper).  Design and create your kite.

 

 

 

Procedure for MS Exploratory Chinese 3P/5P (10/24/13)

 

Objectives: 1) I can gain cultural knowledge about Chinese lucky and unlucky numbers.  2) I can say / write numbers in Chinese.

Homework: 1) Review learned number and picture characters.  2) Quiz #3: Wednesday, 10/30/13.

Procedure:

1.      1) Makeup quiz (3P: Nathan; 5P: Rebecca, John Andrew) / Makeup homework (character writing + paper cutting)—5P (Maya, Sam F., Andrew, Henry, Evan, Ben, Savannah, Sydney.  (5P) Return quiz #1 papers.  2) (3P) Teach (zero).  Collect Chinese number character writing assignment.  3) Show Ms. Chang your paper cut patterns for grade, please.

2.      1) Quick review (12 number characters + 8 picture characters).  2) Audio files: numbers + number rap.

3.      1) Culture reading: Chinese Lucky and unlucky numbers.  2) Video clip: Chinese numbers.
